Frequently Asked Questions

What is an MVP?

MVP stands for Minimum Viable Product - the simplest version of your product that can be released to test your idea with real users and gather valuable feedback for future development.

One picture is worth a thousand words so check this Youtube video What is MVP? Minimum Viable Product Explained with Real Examples by Eleken

What does ewolv.es mean?

The name is a wordplay: wolves operate in a focused pack with a strong leader to achieve a shared goal. The group can grow and evolve, and the MVP can do the same — start lean, then evolve into a stronger product as it matures.

What is included in the €10,000 price?

Everything needed for a complete MVP: professional UI/UX design, full-stack development, database setup, authentication, deployment, basic documentation, and 30 days of support.

What is not included in the fixed price?

Some projects rely on third-party APIs that charge separately, such as Google Maps or the ChatGPT platform. Payment for those external service usages is the customer’s responsibility and is not covered by the refund policy.

Additionally, services like further development, ongoing maintenance, hosting beyond the initial period, and handover workshops are available as separate packages with fixed pricing and clearly defined scopes. Details on these options are covered in other questions throughout this FAQ.

How long does it take to build an MVP?

Typically 4-8 weeks depending on complexity. The process includes discovery, design, development, testing, and deployment phases with regular updates along the way. The actual duration will be determined during the discovery phase, but we're still talking about weeks. Otherwise, it's not viable for either side.

What if I'm not satisfied with the result?

Full money-back guarantee applies. If the MVP does not satisfy the defined goals, the project is canceled with no charges - your peace of mind is important.

Who can cancel the project?

In rare cases, if trust or chemistry is missing and both sides cannot align on the same goal, either party may raise the concern. When a project is canceled for those reasons, the full refund policy applies.

Can I make changes during development?

Absolutely! Regular check-ins allow for feedback and adjustments. Changes are incorporated within the defined scope and timeline to ensure everything meets your vision.

What technologies do you use?

Java/Spring Boot or PHP/API Platform for backend, React/Next.js for frontend, Postgres or MongoDB for database, all containerized for Kubernetes deployment - modern and scalable.

Do you develop mobile apps?

Our MVPs are built to support business processes, and mobile apps can be an excellent API consumer for that purpose. We develop mobile apps with frameworks such as React Native to extend your product to mobile users.

Do you provide support after launch?

Yes, 30 days of post-launch support is included. Additional support packages are available for ongoing maintenance. The price for additional work will always be fixed and given upfront.

Who will host the project?

During the development phase and the included 30 days of support, hosting is provided by ewolv.es. After that period, you'll need to set up your own hosting or opt for our ongoing hosting services, which include monitoring and uptime guarantees. The initial hosting is optimized for MVP-scale usage. For full production deployment, it may need upgrades for higher capacity, high availability, backups, monitoring, and alerting. We can handle these enhancements or mentor your team on implementation.

If not agreed otherwise we will pick AWS (Amazon) or OVH Cloud.

What are the payment terms?

Just 10% upfront to start development, remaining 90% upon successful completion and delivery. No charges if goals are not met - simple and fair.

How is payment handled?

You receive two EU VAT invoices: the first for €1,000 as advance payment and the second for €9,000 upon completion. These prices exclude VAT. If the money-back policy is applied, the advance payment invoice is corrected and the funds are refunded.

Will I get source code?

Yes, but not from day one. Source code is provided once the MVP is accepted and payment is complete. Source code can be audited beforehand by any tool for static code analysis, and can be presented to auditors during live sessions. This protects the work while offering full money-back guarantee.

Can you work with my existing designs or team?

Definitely! Existing designs can be incorporated seamlessly. Collaboration with your team is always welcome for the best results.

What if I need additional features later?

The MVP is built to scale beautifully. Additional features can be developed as separate projects with clear pricing and timelines.

What does it mean that MVP has scale in mind?

During the initial workshops, the right architectural design fit is identified. At this point every business scope is defined and for each scope the appropriate approach (from CRUD to Hexagonal Architecture) is assigned. The whole code is covered with automated tests so further development with continuous integration is possible.

Are you sure every project can be done within 10k?

Not every project, but that's okay! Very large projects might not fit the budget but also won't fit the MVP definition. Requirements are analyzed and in case of very large scope, helpful MVP scope suggestions are provided.

Do you use AI in development?

AI tools like GitHub Copilot support development, but the final code is always reviewed by an expert. No tools that generate whole applications are used - quality and expertise come first.

Do you realize AI projects?

Yes, popular AI models and services can be integrated to support your MVP's business goals. However, you must cover usage costs extra. The rest of the development is included in the fixed price.

Note that projects requiring custom model training are not feasible within this budget.

For example, we can build a ChatGPT-powered application using the ChatGPT API, but we cannot train and deploy a custom large language model like ChatGPT itself.

Which tools are used for communication?

Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence are used for project transparency, unless agreed otherwise. Online meeting tools like Google Meet or Teams are suggested for smooth collaboration.

What is handover strategy?

After MVP phase the code can be further developed also by another team. Additional workshops for handover or even dedicated mentoring programs can be organized. Those are additionally paid.

Does the price include meetings costs?

It is assumed that all workshops will be done online and no onsite visit is required. But onsite visit is possible if customer will cover all the costs (no refunds policy is applied here).

What is not refundable?

In rare cases, when technical decisions made by you require purchasing licenses for libraries or extensions, these expenses are covered by the initial payment and are not refundable. However, no margin is added, and full transparency on costs is provided.

Isn't €10,000 a bit high price?

No, it is not. It represents the average monthly salary of an expert developer in most EU countries. Additionally, consider the costs of adding a Project Manager, Architect, UX Designer, and margin on top, and multiply this by months of development.

Isn't the €10,000 price too low?

No, it is not. The fixed price enables fast time to market. The combination of AI support and over 20 years of market experience is a powerful acceleration tool.

I have a unique idea. Is it safe?

Short answer: yes. An NDA will be signed to ensure the idea cannot be taken and developed independently. Additionally, this is not our business model—we lack the marketing capabilities to launch and run the project. That said, remember that truly unique ideas are rare. Most projects are clones of something with a small twist.

€10,000, how much is it in US dollars?

Around $11,800. For US-based customers the rate is simplified to a fixed $11,000.

How do we get started?
